FESTIVAL SEASON KICKS off proper this weekend as Body & Soul takes place in Ballinlough Castle, Co. Westmeath.
It’s one of the most scenic and unique festivals in Ireland, and you’re truly spoiled for choice when it comes to food options.
Here’s just some of what you simply have to eat this weekend.
1. A crisp sandwich at the King’s Inn
Yes, King Crisps are entering the crisp sandwich market in a big way and will have crisp sandwiches available at the festival this weekend.
Perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner, if you ask us.
2. Something healthy from The Happy Pear
If you can’t bear a sausage and rasher sandwich, then The Happy Pear will be on hand for healthy festival offerings.
Look at those melons.
3. A cold pressed juice from Sprout & Co

For those with pure intentions this festival weekend, Sprout & Co. will have a range of fresh juices for you. (Also handy for if you have a severe case of festival dry mouth.)
4. Patatas bravas from Home Fries
:O
5. A pie from The Pieman Café
You’re going to need some comfort food to get you through the weekend, after all.
6. A pulled pork sandwich from The Pig’s Tale
They know what they’re doing — their name literally contains the word “pig”.
7. The Big Blue Bus
The Bernard Shaw stalwart will be serving up pizza this weekend.
*drools*
8. Coffee from Brunels
For your coffee fix, natch.
Apparently they will be serving up iced drinks if the weather gets tropical.
Yassss.
9. A falafel wrap from Eco Bus Café
The doubledecker bus (we’re sensing a theme here) serves curries, nachos, steak rolls and falafel wraps.
Perfect for carnivores and vegetarians alike, so.
10. A bacon roll from Burger Republic
And when you’re feeling delicate, look no further than Burger Republic.
